CARBOTOUX® PROMETHAZINE Syrup is used for symptomatic treatment of troublesome, nonproductive cough, in particular, if it predominantly occurs at night.

- Carbocisteine …………………………. 100mg
- Promethazine hydrochloride …….…… 2.5mg

SHAKE WELL BEFORE USE
Dosage:
Amebiasis:
- Child: 1.2 to 1.6 ml/kg/day (or 30 to 40 mg/kg/day), divided into 3 doses.
- Duration of treatment: for 7 to 10 days (in general).
Lambliasis:
- Child: from 2 to 5 years old: 10 ml/day (or 250 mg/day).
- Child: from 5 to 10 years old: 15 ml/day (or 375 mg/day).
- Child: from 10 to 15 years old: 20 ml/day (or 500 mg/day).
The daily dose should be divided into 2 doses.
Duration of treatment: for 5 to 7 days (in general).
Anaerobic bacterial infections:
- Child: 0.8 to 1.2 ml/kg/day (or 20 to 30 mg/kg/day), divided into 3 doses.
Mode of administration: Oral route.
STORAGE: Store below 30ºC. Protect from light, heat and humidity.
- Drowsiness; constipation; mydriasis; palpitation; risk of urinary retention; orthostatic hypotension; balance disorders; vertigo; decrease of attention; skin reactions; asthma; photosensitivity.
- Pregnancy: This medicine should be used briefly in case of absolute necessity from the 3rd trimester of pregnancy.
- Breast-feeding: The use of this medicine must be avoided during breast-feeding.
