Vitamine D2 is used for Prophylaxis and/or treatment of vitamin D deficiency.
Vitamine D2:
- Ergocalciferol (I.N.N) or vitamin D2 ……………… 1500IU
- Excipients: q.s.f ………………………………………… 1ml
Dosage:
Prevention of vitamin D deficiency:
- Infant receiving milk rich in vitamin D, adolescent or pregnant women: 400 – 1000 IU/day or 6 – 16 drops per day.
- Infant breast-fed or does not receive milk rich in vitamin D and young children till the age of 5: 1000 – 2000 IU / day or 16 – 32 drops per day.
Treatment of vitamin D deficiency (rachitism, osteomalacia, neonatal hypocalcemia): 2000 – 4000 IU / day or 32 – 64 drops per day.
Mode of administration: Oral route. Administer alone or dilute with a little of water or juice, milk or other milky beverages.
STORAGE: Store below 30°C. Protect from light, heat and humidity.
- To avoid the risk of overdose, verify the total dosage of vitamin D in case of association of many treatments containing this vitamin.
- Elevated calcium intake requires a regular control of calcemia and calciuria.
- Stop vitamin D intake if the calcemia exceeds 105 mg/ml.
- Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: If needed, vitamin D can be prescribed during pregnancy and breast-feeding period.
