MEBENTOX® Tablet is used for Treatment of single or mixed helminthic infestations due to Enterobius vermicularis (pinworm), Trichuris trichiura (whipworm), Ascaris lumbricoides (roundworm), Ankylostoma duodenale and Necator americanus (hookworm), Strongyloides stercoralis.
MEBENTOX® Tablet:
- Mebendazole ………………………….. 500mg
- Excipients: q.s.f ……………………… 1 tablet
Dosage: Adults and children over 2 years old: 1 tablet given as a single dose.
*** If the parasite test result in the stools is still positive after 3 weeks of treatment, a second course of treatment is advised.
Mode of administration: Oral route.
STORAGE: Store below 30ºC. Protect from light, heat and humidity.
- Mebendazole is generally well tolerated, but some manifestations may rarely occur such as diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal pain, headache, dizziness, rash.
- Pregnancy: Avoid the administration of this drug during pregnancy.
- Breast-feeding: This drug can be prescribed during breast-feeding only as advised by your doctor.
